Hosted by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), CLIX 2020 has marked year-on-year growth of 67 percent in applications and 54 percent in participating countries. Demonstrating its international reach, this year’s edition has received 1,402 entries from 128 countries, including 73 from the USA, 42 from India, 25 from the UK, and 18 from the UAE.

Finalists will be able to benefit from demonstrating their innovations at the Middle East’s largest future energy and sustainability event, along with financial support, and the opportunity to pitch to incubators and accelerators, venture capital and private equity firms, institutional investors, and sovereign wealth funds.

Currently in its third installment, CLIX boasts a proven track record of facilitating successful partnerships between trailblazing start-ups and forward-thinking investors.”

Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi added: “MOCCAE is proud to host CLIX, as it recognises the power of harnessing the creativity of young minds to identify unconventional solutions to environmental challenges.
